Splitwave is an open-source audio routing application. We value your privacy and believe in transparency. This policy explains what information is processed when you use our website, application, or support our project.

2. Desktop Application

The Splitwave desktop application operates entirely on your local computer. It does not collect, track, or transmit your audio streams, personal files, or usage telemetry to any external server.

3. Supporter Recognition (Patreon)

If you choose to support Splitwave development on Patreon, you can connect your account to display a supporter badge on our website and GitHub README.

With your permission via Patreon authorization or profile lookup, we access:

• Your public display name;
• Your public profile avatar;
• Your active membership tier.

Patrons may also choose to enter their GitHub username if they prefer to display their GitHub avatar and handle instead.

We never collect, process, or have access to your payment card details, bank information, or billing address. All financial transactions are handled securely by Patreon.

4. Data Storage and Retention

For supporters who claim a badge, a static copy of the avatar image, display name, and tier are stored on our server. Submissions are reviewed before being published on the website.

We do not sell, trade, or share this data with third parties. You may request the update, anonymization, or deletion of your supporter badge at any time by emailing us at support@splitwave.app.

5. Third-Party Services

Our website integrates with the following providers:

• Patreon — membership management and authentication;
• GitHub — open-source code hosting and optional avatar retrieval;
• Cloudflare — web hosting, security, and content delivery.

6. Cookies

This website does not use tracking cookies, advertising beacons, or third-party analytics tools.

We only set a single, strictly necessary session cookie (patreon_token) when you voluntarily connect your Patreon account to claim a supporter badge. It expires automatically after 1 hour and is used solely to verify your membership status with Patreon.
